Morrissey quashes hopes of a Smiths reunion

Rumors of a Smiths reunion were recently quashed by Morrissey, who claims that he has not been approached in relation to an appearance at Glastonbury in 2013.

However, passion for the band lives on.

Fans from all over the world continue to travel to Manchester in the hope of casting their eyes on famous Smiths landmarks.

There are also Smiths tribute bands, such as These Charming Men, from Dublin, who continue to charm fans of The Smiths and Morrissey all around the globe with their finely tuned energetic and passionate live shows.

Many Dublin musicians admit to being highly influenced by Morrissey and The Smiths. “They just had such a raw sound. The combination of melodies and lyrics was, and still is so addictive,” says Dublin based guitarist,Andy Pollard.

This video features some of the core Smiths landmarks in Manchester, including Salford Lads Club, 384 Kings Road, The Iron Bridge, Southern Cemetery, Strangeways prison, The Free Trade Hall and the G-MEX.
